Chibok girls abduction; what pain.

My heart goes out to the parent of the abducted chibok school girls in Borno state, North east Nigeria. On the night of 14–15 April 2014, approximately 276 female students were kidnapped from the Government Secondary School in the town of Chibok in Borno State, Nigeria. The kidnappings were claimed by Boko Haram, an Islamic Jihadistand Takfiriterrorist organisation based in northeast Nigeria. The insident has now become a global concern with some of the global power houses offering assistance to Nigerian Government in finding the girls. I have closely followed this partricular story with so much interest considering the magnitude of atrosities the Boko Haram insurgence have commited in Nigeria, i knew some day the international communities will do something. Since the advent of the terrorist group in 2010, it has carried out series of bombings,
killing scores of people including children and wormen. Boko Haram has carried our several attacks in places of worship, motor parks, Government installations, UN office, National defence Headquater etc. Since 2010, Boko Haram has also targeted schools, killing hundreds of students. A spokesperson for the group said such attacks would continue as long as the Nigerian government continued to interfere with traditional Islamic education. 10,000 children have been unable to attend school as a result of the activities by Boko Haram. Boko Haram has also been known to kidnap girls, who it believes should not be educated, and use them as cooks or sex slaves. The insurgent group Boko Haram is opposed to the Westernisation of Nigeria, which they maintain is the root cause of criminal behaviour in the country. Thousands of people have been killed in attacks perpetrated by the group, and the Nigerian federal government declared a state of emergency in May 2013 in Borno State in its fight against the insurgency. The resulting crackdown has led to the capture or killing of hundreds of Boko Haram members, with the remainder retreating to mountainous areas from which they have increasingly targeted civilians. All this without any effort by the international communities to support Nigerian Government in it effort to ride this Nation of terrorism. Untill the insurgent bite bigger than it could chew. The abduction of the chibok school girls which have lasted for over three weeks now have drawn the attention of the whole world and protest have been held in every part of the World with the #BRINGBACKOURGIRLS +bringbackourgirls Wth Celebrities, top government officials, Heads of states, presidents including Barack Obama of the United states of America, and his first lady Michel Obama lending their voices and giving their support. Memorial services and vigils holding all over the World, It is Becoming more popular than the world cup billed for Brazil in June. Many have blamed the Federal Government of Nigeria, claiming it is not doing enough to find the girls and reunite them with their parents. I feel sad considering the pain and trauma the parents of this girls will be going through this past weeks, believe me am not a parent yet but i can imagine. Even though the video released yesterday showing the girls chantting islamic words may serve as a relief to some of them considering a imilar video was released by the group about a week ago, with it leader claiming he will sell off the girls in the slave market and marry some of them off, some may still live in fear and panic as reports claims that two of the girls have been killed by snake bite. This is a story of terror in a Nation that is trying to regain it footings, a country trying to rebuild after a long spell of poor leadership and corruption resulting into infranstructural decay, lack of development and poverty. I pray Nigeria will go through this and come out a stronger Nation. +nikeadeyemi +un +babatundefashola +communities +barackobama +michelobama
